You might be a fair-weather "Star Wars" fan IF...
Now that Disney has bought Lucasfilm and has possession of the greatest Story franchise in the galaxy they are pumping out all the movies, animated series, clothing and toy merchandise and books they can. The Mouse is capitalizing on their new purchase by sucking in all the new fans they can and making tons of money off of them.
But where were all these people during the previous forty years of "Star Wars" history? Where were they in the Dark Years, the '90s and '80s or even the early 2000's? Where were they when we only had the three original movies? Or even after the prequel trilogy, or when we only had the Expanded Universe to satisfy our curiosity over the later adventures of the Golden Trio?
These days everyone and their vornskr is a "giant Star Wars fan". The following list may indicate whether you are a Master Star Wars fan, or whether you are an initiate just being pulled in via all the new hype...
15) You get bored with galactic politics and don't think they are important to the story.
14) You are angry at the change of character in Luke, thinking he should still be the hope-filled farmboy after 30+ years, unaffected by events in life. (He is human, right?)
13) You are unaware that the whole thing is supposed to be about the Skywalker family.
12) You are shocked that Leia developed Force abilities, and are not disappointed that she is not shown as being as powerful as she should be.
11) You're OK with the galactic capital being moved away from Coruscant.
10) You don't question how Han could ever have let the Falcon stay out of his possession for so long.
9) You don't know who Mara Jade is, let alone that she married and had a child with Luke.
8) You get excited about all the new aliens and don't question why there are no Hutts, Rodians, Twi'leks, or so many others in the sequel trilogy.
7) You underestimate the importance of a life debt to the Wookiee culture, and thus you never questioned Chewbacca fleeing the scene of Han's murder.
6) You spell "Wookiee" with only one "e".
